Download PuTTY free Chief Fulmer has been a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs [IAFC] since 1996, when he was promoted to Assistant Chief with the Village of Savoy, Illinois fire Department.  Chief Fulmer has been active with the Association since becoming a member and seeks every opportunity to serve the Association and its members.
Download Putty Installer Chief Fulmer has been a member of the Great Lakes Division of the IAFC for almost 11 years.  Chief Fulmer has served as a chief officer in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Ohio.
Chief Fulmer has been a member of the Volunteer and Combination Officer's Section for almost 11 years.  Chief Fulmer has been very active in the section.  Additional information detailing his involvement can be viewed by clicking on the VCOS tab at the top of this web site page.
Chief Fulmer has been a member of the Safety, Health and Survival Section of the IAFC for the last two years.  Chief Fulmer co-chaired the Section's Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation and Prevention Program Task Force that was tasked with the review of the NIOSH FFFIPP procedures and the development of recommendations to enhance this federal program.
Chief Fulmer has been a member the Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association since April of 2002.  Chief Fulmer has been an active member in the Association since becoming a member and seeks every opportunity to serve the Association.
Chief Fulmer was recently re-designated as a Chief Fire Officer.  Chief Fulmer originally received his Chief Fire Officer Designee in August of 2002.  In addition, Chief Fulmer serves as a peer reviewer for the Chief Fire Officer Designation (CFOD) process.  He hopes to one day be appointed to the Commission on Professional Credentialing, which is a 9 member Board.
During his tenure with Miami Township, Chief Fulmer and the Miami Township's Division of Fire/EMS were members of the Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance, which is the host organization for Ohio Task Force One.  Prior to a reorganization, Chief Fulmer served as a member of the Oversight Committee for the task force.  The West Licking Joint Fire District currently has one member, Battalion Chief Todd Magers, assigned to the Task Force.
During his tenure with Miami Township, Chief Fulmer and the Miami Township Division of Fire/EMS were heavily involved in the Ohio Region III Rescue Strike Team.  This team is one of eight teams in Ohio that are tasked, through the Ohio Department of Homeland Security, to provide technical rescue services.  The Region III team covers an area of eight counties in west central Ohio.  Chief Fulmer served as the chairperson for the advisory board, which consisted of a representative of each county's fire chiefs' association and a representative from each of the county's emergency management agencies.
Chief Fulmer has been a member of the National Fire Protection Association's 1021 Committee: Standard for Professional Qualifications For Fire Officers since approximately 1996.  This consensus standard develops the performance requirements necessary to perform the duties of a fire officer.  The committee is comprised of fire service representatives from across the county.
